Meet the Directors

Father Faustine Mosha CGD Program Director 

Faustine Mosha was born and raised at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro. He is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Child Growth and Development Center (CGD), a community-led development organization that is working to find lasting solutions to different dimensions of coomunities affected by poverty. Fr. Faustine has extensive experience in community development, organizational leadership and advocacy, as well as consultancy. He has also vast experience working with non-governmental and international organizations on issues ranging from marginalized community peace building, gender rights, and poverty alleviation programs. He holds a Masters degree at the University of San Francisco in Organizational Leadership and a second Masters degree in Divinity from Pontifical University in Rome. During his time in the United States he coordinated hospital chaplaincy and patients rights advocacy, as well as mission work. He loves acquainting volunteer students with the varied ethnic culture and tribes in Tanzania and the country’s world-renowned attractions. He is confident that this program will provide a powerful, life-changing experience for both volunteers and the local communities it interacts with. “Karibu Sana Tanzania.” (“Welcome to Tanzania!”)  

Mr. Aloyce Koillah CGD Program Co-Manager

A native of Tanzania’s Ngorongoro district in Arusha, Aloyce has extensive experience working with local communities and various NGOs and is cofounder of the Children Growth & Development Center. He completed his Bachelors degree in Health Service Management in Tanzania and his Master’s degree in Health Economics from the University of Kampala in Uganda. He currently works for the Public Health Department as Health Secretary in the Meru district. He speaks fluent English and has worked with international volunteers in the past. He enjoys introducing students to his country and helping them understand the culture in order to bridge the local community and international students. A father of three, he and his wife enjoy spending quality time with their children, traveling during the summer to the various wilderness parks in Tanzania, reading, keeping up with social media, and English soccer.
